Victory is an eternal holiday in our hearts! Yet the Great Patriotic War was a tough challenge to the country’s fuel and energy industry. 60 major electric power stations with the total capacity of 5.8 million kW were destroyed, 12 000 buildings of electric stations and substations were ruined, almost 10 000 km of high-voltage power transmission lines were damaged. By virtue of heroism of the Soviet energy industry workers the country’s power potential has been restored within the shortest time possible.Every year the numbers of those who won the Great Patriotic War, who heroically forged the weapon of victory in the rear, are fewer and fewer. Care and assistance to the veterans are our holy duties.
